Naked 1 and Naked 2 Pallet Showdown

We have all seen these Naked Pallets that Urban Decay release and I thought why not compare the first 2 pallets. As a side note I have owned the Naked 2 Pallet longer so if it is very dirty on the mirror and have shadows that have it pan then live with it.Both pallets have a mix of Shimmer and Matte shades.

The Naked Pallet
As you can see this pallet has nice packaging. This pallet has brown velvet packaging with gold writing. The velvet is not the best thing ever as who really needs or wants velvet packaging but the product make up for that in abundance.

This pallet has very neutral every day shades which help justify the rather hefty price tag that comes when buying one of these pallets.

Jelly Belly Lip Balm

These are the Jelly Belly Lip Balms, you will be more familiar with this brands sweets but they have ventured into Lip Balms. I got these as a Christmas gift from a family member,I was a bit reluctant to try them at first as I thought how can a brand known for selling jelly beans be good at selling makeup products? This statement does play a part in the negatives of this product.

There were 3 Lip Balms in this set and each Lip Balm had a particular flavour.

The first Lip Balm is Tutti-frutti flavoured.

I am not a huge fan of Tutti-frutti flavoured items so this did not win me over, the scent is very subtle. There is no tint what so ever with this product. The consistency of this product is more like an oil than a balm and it also feels a bit greasy depending on the amount you put on.

This is what it looks like on the inside.

The second Lip Balm in the set is Berry Blue flavoured.

I am a huge fan of Berry scented items so this did win me over, to some degree, the scent is much more stronger than the other balm. There is no tint what so ever with this product. The consistency of this product is more like an oil than a balm and it also feels a bit greasy depending on the amount you put on.

This is what it looks like on the inside.

The third and last Lip Balm in the set is Very Cherry flavoured.

I am a fan of Cherry scented items so this did win me over, to some degree, the scent is much more stronger than the first balm. There is no tint what so ever with this product. The consistency of this product is more like an oil than a balm and it also feels a bit greasy depending on the amount you put on.

This is what it looks like on the inside.

Overall I am on the fence although the scents are decent I am not sure they are the worlds best lip balm. These would be great as a gift for Christmas or Birthdays. If you are a makeup lover i would give these a miss. On the plus side I like the packaging.
